Welcome to my new studio in Sechelt presenting piano lessons for all ages and levels, Orff groups for children (xylophone, percussion, movement and song) and Little Mozart groups.

I am an internationally experienced elementary teacher and Ontario music specialist and as well as an enthusiastic proponent of the Carl Orff approach. This method of teaching is based on structured, sequential development of knowledge and skills. I encourage joyful participation, creativity and personal music growth for participants of all ages and abilities.

My musical career began in childhood at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. I continued to be involved in band and musical productions in high school at the same time that I successfully completed Grade 9 piano and theory levels and Grade 6 clarinet. I spent many years as a church organist and choir director. I also produced children’s musicals and directed children’s choirs in Ontario and Bermuda.

I am continuing to share my love of music and music education at Spruce Music Studio in Sechelt, teaching piano with an Orff twist for all ages and experience levels, offering Orff groups for children and Little Mozarts for 3-5 year olds. More exciting and fun groups coming for older ages soon!
